About Matteo
Matteo is a 21-year-old drummer currently studying Drumming Performance at ACM in Guildford. He's been behind the kit since he was six years old, and it’s been the heartbeat of his life ever since.
​
Currently, he plays for Benchwarmer, Luca Firth, and Huw Lloyd, bringing energy, creativity, and groove to every live show and studio session. Prior to this, he spent five years playing with his first band, Strange Child, performing at venues like O2 Academy Islington and on the Hard Rock stage at the Isle of Wight Festival on three different occasions. One of the highlights of his journey so far was touring in Lithuania, performing for pop artist Beatrich, who is widely known as one of the country’s biggest stars.

Matteo is currently completing his BA in Music Industry, specialising in drums, at ACM. During his time at the Academy of Contemporary Music, he has been mentored by notable tutors including Toby Drummond (The Seahorses, Shaun Ryder, Russell Watson, Ray Davies, Cliff Richard), Paul Geary (Nik Kershaw, Lisa Stansfield, George Michael), Brian Henry (The Jacksons, Soul II Soul, Chaka Khan), and Joe Yoshida (Eurovision, Joel Compass, Molly Smitten-Downes).

Matteo is sharpening his skills in performance, musical collaboration, and the broader workings of the music industry, all to become a more versatile and professional drummer.

Whether he's on stage, in the studio, or writing with other artists, Matteo is all about pushing boundaries, playing with purpose, and making the music feel good.

I offer personalised 1-on-1 drum lessons, both in person and online, tailored to suit each student’s goals, experience level, and musical taste. My lessons focus on building strong foundations, improving feel and creativity, and developing confidence behind the kit.
In-person sessions are held in a fully equipped studio, while online lessons are delivered via high-quality video calls, ensuring a smooth, engaging experience wherever you are.
